USC Athletics is teaming up with the LA Fire Department this fall to host our first annual Wounded Warrior Weekend. Through the Wounded Warrior Project, injured veterans will be brought to one of twenty local firehouses and welcomed for three days of festivities. On Friday night, USC will host a dinner in the soldiers' honor at the Galen Center which will include members of all participating firehouses. On Saturday, the LAFD will provide a special tailgate for their personnel before the kickoff of our home opener. The wounded warriors will then be honored on the field during the game as a special thanks during Joint Forces Day. Finally, the firehouse in Long Beach will open their doors for a sendoff brunch. USC Athletics views this as a humbling opportunity to honor those who have served our county.
