USC's incoming freshmen Josh Mance won a gold and Aaron Brown a bronze medal to wrap up action at the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships being held at Stade Moncton in Moncton, Canada. More than 1,400 athletes from 163 countries competed during the weeklong competition (July 19-25).

Mance, who placed fifth in the open 400m race on July 22, ran the leadoff leg for USA's winning 4x400m relay team on July 25 which posted a world junior leading time of 3:04.76 to capture the gold medal. Mance's unofficial split time was 46.7. Mance ran track for Don Lugo HS in Chino, Calif.

Brown, who placed fifth in the 100m dash on July 21, earned a bronze medal for Canada in the 200m race on July 23 with a PR of 21.00. It was the final event of the day and he excited the Canadian crowd by running a strong race despite being in the eighth lane. Brown attended Birchmount Park HS in Ontario, Canada.

Another soon-to-been Trojan competing over the final days was Loudia Laarman of Winston Churchill HS in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Laarman, who placed seventh in the women's 100m dash on July 21, ran the anchor leg for Canada's 4x100m relay team. Canada posted a time of 44.77 in Friday's semifinals to advance to the championship, but finished sixth with a time of 44.84 in Saturday's finals.
