Junior Reggie Wyatt placed sixth in the 400m intermediate hurdles today (July 1) at the U.S. Track & FIeld Olympic Trials being held in Eugene, Ore. at historic Hayward Field.

Wyatt had a time of 50.06 to place sixth and would have needed a PR to make the U.S. Olympic team as the third-place finisher had a time of 48.89. Wyatt ran a PR of 49.11 in placing third at the 2012 NCAA Championships.

Allyson Felix will compete in a run-off vs. Jeneba Tarmoh on Monday for the final spot on U.S.A.'s 100m dash team as they finished in a dead-heat for third with a time of 11.068 on June 23. That will be the final event of the 2012 U.S. Track & Field Olympic Trials.

Trojans already qualifying for Team U.S.A. in track and field are Bryshon Nellum (400m), Josh Mance (4x400m), Duane Solomon (800m), Jesse Williams (high jump) and Felix (200m).
