    Felix Wins U.S. Title In 200m Dash At Olympic Trials

    Allyson Felix won the U.S. women's championship in the 200m dash and Ryan Wilson placed seventh in the 110m HH today (June 30) at the U.S. Track & FIeld Olympic Trials being held in Eugene, Ore. at historic Hayward Field.

    Felix dominated the field in the final event of the day with a PR of 21.69 in the 200m dash for the third-fastest time ever run by a U.S. female and setting a new Olympic Trials record.

    Ryan Wilson took care of business in the 110m HH semifinals by placing second in his heat with a time of 13.32 to automatically advance to the finals later in the day. Wilson had the sixth-fastest qualifying time, but the third through eighth-place finisher were all within .18 seconds. Later at night in the finals, WIlson placed seventh with a time of 13.24.

    Tomorrow junior Reggie Wyatt will be competing in the men's 400m IH finals, the last Trojan competing at the 2012 Olympic Trials. Already qualifying for Team U.S.A. in track are Bryshon Nellum (400m), Josh Mance (4x400m), Duane Solomon (800m), Jesse Williams (high jump) and Allyson Felix (200m).
