    Conatser & Davis Earn Pac-12 Weekly Honors

    Seniors Remington Conatser in the hammer throw and Jessica Davis in the sprints received Pac-12 weekly honors for their accomplishments last weekend at the Trojan Invitational it was announced by the conference today (March 25). Conatser was tabbed the Male Field Athlete of the Week and Davis the Female Track Athlete of the Week.

    Conatser won the men's hammer throw at the Trojan Invitational on March 21 with a personal-best mark of 238-8 (72.76m) which moved him from fourth to third on USC's all-time list in the event and into seventh place on the Pac-12s all-time list. His throw is also the NCAA-leading mark this season and 14 feet farther than he threw in placing second at the 2013 NCAA Championships in the hammer throw competition. Conatser had moved from eighth to fourth on USC's all-time list with a throw of 230-4 on March 7.

    Davis won the women's 100m dash with an NCAA-leading time of 11.42 at the Trojan Invitational on March 22. For Davis, it was her best wind-legal 100m dash since the 2011 NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. Davis also ran a leg on the 4x100m relay team for USC which posted a time of 44.10 which is tied for the second-fastest time by a quartet in the early season. Davis is coming off a strong indoor season in which she won the MPSF 60m and 200m dash titles and helped lead USC to the team title.
