While the current Trojans were competing at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend, some of USC's recruits were in action at the New Balance Nationals Indoor held at the Armory in New York, New York (March 14-16) and they had an impressive meet. Six different recruits finished in the top five in their events, with Dior Hall setting the high school record in the 60m hurdles.

Hall of George Washington HS in Denver, Colo. won the girls 60m HH with an indoor high school record time of 8.11. Hall broke the record of 8.16 which was set by Jackie Coward in 2008. She also had the fastest times in the qualifying rounds of 8.27 and 8.21. Her winning time would have been good enough to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships final in the event.

The other female recruit competing at the New Balance Nationals Indoor was sprinter Ky Westbrook of Chander HS in Chandler, Arizona and she placed fifth in the girls 60m dash with a time of 7.49.

Ricky Morgan of Forest Park HS in Woodbridge, Va. placed third in the boy's 400m race with a time of 47.93. In addition, 800m runners Robert Ford of Claudia Taylor Johnson HS in San Antonio, Texas and Jordan Wallin of Rocky Mountain HS in Meridian, Id. both placed in the boys 800m race. Ford had a time of 1:52.04 to take third and Wallin posted a time of 1:52.58 to place fifth.

USC football recruit and track athlete Adoree Jackson of Serra HS in Gardena, Calif. took second place in the boy's long jump with a leap of 24-4.50 (7.43m).
