INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS - Brandon Estrada tied for seventh to earn All-America honors and Blake Shaw just missed out of reaching the finals in the one-mile race at the NCAA Indoor Championships held in Fayetteville, Ark. on March 12-13. Estrada cleared 17-6.5 (5.35m) to tie for the fourth-highest clearance, but fell to a seventh-place tie due to misses. In the one-mile race the top four in each heat, plus the two next fastest times advanced to the finals in the one-mile race and Shaw placed fifth in his heat with a time of 4:05.75, .03 seconds out of fourth. In fact, the top five runners in the race were separated by .22 seconds, but their strategic race was slower than the first heat, so the two next best times came from heat one.
