While several Trojans continue to train for next week's NCAA Indoor Championships, a big group of Trojans are set to compete outdoors at the Cal State Los Angeles Invitational held March 6-7 in Los Angeles, Calif.

In the second outdoor meet of the season, USC has more than 40 athletes set for action including three-time All-American hammer thrower Jenny Ozorai who will be competing for the first time since placing fourth at the 2013 NCAA Championships. Ozorai missed last season following back surgery. More than half of USC's athletes will be making their 2015 outdoor debut, including among others senior triple jumper Melia Cox, freshman sprinter Ricky Morgan, freshman middle distance runner Robert Ford, redshirt freshman thrower Nick Ponzio, senior high jumper Michael Krone and freshman high jumper Randall Cunningham. All of these athletes had solid indoor campaigns and should be ready to roll into the outdoor season.

The meet begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 6 with the women's hammer throw, followed by the men's hammer throw competition. Friday's action will also include the discus throw, shot put, javelin throw and the long jump events.

Saturday the action begins at 10 a.m. with the Opening Ceremonies, followed by the hurdles races at 10:30 a.m. and will run through the 7 p.m. start of the last event, the men's 3000m race.
