Bolonyai and Fajoyomi Named USC Student-Athletes of the Week|

Flora Bolonyai of the women's water polo team and Viktor Fajoyomi of the men's track & field team were named USC Student-Athletes of the week for Feb. 3-9.
WOMEN'S STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Senior goalkeeper Flora Bolonyai led the Trojans to the Triton Invitational title this past weekend, tallying 33 saves and only seven goals allowed as the Trojans opened the season 4-0. Bolonyai had 10 saves in a 13-0 group-play win over #16 Cal State Northridge -- securing the sixth shutout victory in program history -- to advance the Trojans to the semifinals. There, Bolonyai pinned up another 10-save effort in a 10-4 win over #10 Arizona State for a ticket to the final. In the title match, Bolonyai opened the day with a save against a UC Irvine 5-meter penalty shot, and she'd finish with 11 saves in the 8-3 championship win. Bolonyai started the winning weekend with a couple saves and no goals allowed in one period of work in an opening 25-2 win over Sonoma State. For her efforts she was named MPSF Player of the Week for just the second time in her career.
MEN'S STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Senior Viktor Fajoyomi won the heptathalon at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., over the weekend. Fajoyomi won the heptathlon with a total of 5,544 points, 336 more than the second-place finisher and placed eighth on the NCAA indoor list this season. On the second day of competition he took fifth fifth in the 60m HH with a time of 8.65 to earn 825 points. He was also fifth in the pole vault with a PR of 14-5.25 (4.40m) to earn another 731 points. Then in the last event, the 100m run, Fajoyomi took third with a time of 2:42.31. Fajoyomi won both the long jump and high jump in the first day of the competition, which was his first career indoor heptathlon.
