McCullough and Haralabidis Named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week|

LOS ANGELES – Men’s track and field senior Conor McCullough and women’s water polo sophomore Stephania Haralabidis were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8, on Monday, Feb. 9.

McCullough’s record-breaking accomplishment surpassed the old mark that stood since 2007. With his performance at the Frank Sevigne Invitational, McCullough is now third place in the country in the men’s weight throw. The Trojans are next scheduled to compete at the Don Kirby Elite Meet in Albuquerque, N.M. on Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14.
USC CREDIT UNION WOMEN'S STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
The sophomore’s highlight performance came on day two of the tournament where she rifled in five goals as the No. 3-ranked Trojans upended Cal State Northridge 19-3. In the finals against No. 6 UC Irvine, Haralabidis was back at it again, providing another five-goal performance. Each time the Anteaters would get within one goal of USC, Haralabidis answered back with a goal of her own. The Trojans went on to beat UC Irvine 10-5, and claim the tournament title.
The USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week are voted on by the student assistants and Sports Information Directors of the USC Sports Information Office. Nominations are compiled and distributed for voting by Alec Koondel. Student assistant voters include Rachel Dobrin, Tera Novy, Robby Kolanz, Dru Chavez, Colette Garcia, Melissa Martino, Andrew McKagan, Max Schwartz and intern Katie Ryan.
