    The USC track and field team under the direction of Caryl Smith Gilbert will be competing indoor this weekend at the 6th Annual Cherry and Silver Collegiate Track and Field Invitational hosted by New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. on Jan. 24-25.

    The Trojans are coming off a very good indoor opener at Washington last weekend and look to keep the momentum going. Expected to compete for the women's team are Lauren Blackburn, Charity Bruce, Melia Cox, Jessica Davis, Alexis Faulknor, Tynia Gaither, Amalie Iuel-Hammild, Vanessa Jones, Loudia Laarman, Akawkaw Ndipagbor, Oluwakemi Olonade, Cameron Pettigrew, Jenna Putterbaugh and Jaide Stepter. Trojan men making the trip are Aaron Brown, Viktor Fajoyomi, Aleec Harris, BeeJay Lee, Bryan Mercado and Allen Williams.

    There are 31 teams entered in the meet which will feature a strong field including Pac-12 schools Arizona, California, Stanford and Utah. Also, national powers Arkansas, Florida State and Texas will be competing at the Cherry and Sliver meet.
