    USC's Ozorai And Collatz Go 3-4 In HT At Ben Brown Invitational

    Alexandra Collatz had another strong showing in the hammer throw today.

    Jenny Ozorai was third and Alexandra Collatz fourth in the women's hammer throw to highlight USC's efforts on the first day of the Ben Brown Invitational being hosted by Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif. today (March 13).

    The redshirt senior Ozorai, in her second meet after a year off due to back surgery, placed third in the women's hammer throw with a best mark of 190-8 (58.21m). Placing fourth in the event was senior Alexandra Collatz with a throw of 181-9 (55.39m) in her first attempt. She posted fouls in her other three efforts. Sophomore Tanya Sapa was 12th (148-7/45.29m) and redshirt sophomore Erika Peyton was 14th (141-8/43.19m) in the women's hammer throw.

    In the men's hammer throw, redshirt freshman David Sellens had a PR of 157-6 (48.00m) to place 16th. Redshirt freshman Nick Ponzio did not post a legal throw in the event.

    Senior Diego Lopez competed in the men's javelin throw and placed 17th with a mark of 140-9 (42.91m).

    The meet continues in full-force tomorrow with the action beginning at 9:45 a.m. and concluding at 8:45 p.m.
