THIS SEASON: Junior Barry Wilkins is expected to compete in the 800m and 1500m races for the Trojans this season.

2011: Wilkins' top 800m time was 1:54.54 at the Trojan Tri-Meet on April 2. In the fall of 2011, he competed for Deaf Team USA in soccer...his two-goal effort in a 5-1 win over Mexico at the Pan American Games on Nov. 26 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela helped propel the USA into the 2012 Deaf World Cup to be played in Ankara, Turkey (July 16-28).

2010: Wilkins had a best 800m time as a freshman of 1:53.71 at the Trojan Invitational on March 20 which was the fifth-best by a Trojan in 2010.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended North Central High where he earned All-State honors his sophomore-senior seasons. Was named to the 2009 Indiana All-Star team in track. He had best times of 50.1 in the 400m, 1:54.19 in the 800m and 4:25 in the mile. Wilkins was also an honor roll student.

PERSONAL: Barry was born on April 22, 1991 in Stamford, Conn...He grew up in Indianapolis, Ind., and has roughly 55 percent of his hearing in his left ear, with slightly below that in his right ear...says Wilkins, "Although it has defined me in a lot of ways, my main goal is not to let it actually stop me from doing anything I want to do"...His hobbies include reading and playing soccer...Lists his favorie movie at Casino Royale...He is a Real Estate Development major with a minor in Psychology at USC...He volunteers helping kids around the Los Angeles area during his free time.
