THIS YEAR: Senior Brooke Thomas returns after a fine cross country season to give USC another able performer in the distances.
2002 Cross Country: Thomas showed she was one of the best cross country runners in the Pac-10 in 2002, making it all the way to the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. ... She got there by finishing 14th at the NCAA West Regionals ... She placed 130th in the 5K in a time of 21:31.
2002: Thomas was USC's top 5000m and 3000m SC runner last season ... She ran a PR 17:38.05 in the 5000m at the UCLA dual meet ... She also ran a USC season-best 11:22.43 to finish 10th in the 3000m SC at the Pac-10s ... Also ran a season-best 4:38.48 in the 1500m at the Mt. Sac Relays.
