THIS YEAR: Sophomore Nickell Robey will add to USC's depth in the jumps and the sprints as he is expected to compete for the track team for the first time. Robey has had two outstanding football seasons at USC, starting at cornerback every game and earning Pac-10 All-Freshman team honors in 2010 and First-Team All-Pac-12 selection in 2011.
HIGH SCHOOL: Robey prepped at Frostproof High in Frostproof, Fla. where he starred in track, football and baseball. He was the 2010 Florida 2A District 8 and Region 2 long jump champion. He had PRs of 24-0 in the long jump, 46-0 in the triple jump and 10.70 in the 100m dash. In football as a senior defensive back and running back he was named a Super Prep All-Dixie. He had 764 yards rushing and 232 yards receiving for 15 TDs and had 73 tackles, 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. In baseball, Robey earned second team All-State honors.
PERSONAL: Robey was born on Jan. 17, 1992.
