THIS SEASON: Redshirt junior John Peate ranks 10th all-time in the steeplechase at USC and looks to improve his standing this season. This is his second season at USC after transfering from UC Irvine.
2007: Made steady improvement throughout the season. Ran the 10th fastest 3000m steeplechase in USC history of 9:20.79 at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 28. Had a PR of 9:01.83 in the 3000m race at the Trojan Invitational on March 24.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Thousand Oaks High in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
PERSONAL: John was born on Jan. 25, 1986 in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He is a Business Administration major at USC.
