THIS YEAR: Senior Judith Onyepunuka showed great improvement last season and has developed into one of USC's top sprinters and a valuable member of the 4x100m relay team.
2009: Set a PR of 11.46 in winning the 100m dash at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 2. Also took third in the 200m dash with a wind-aided time of 23.59. Placed fifth in the 100m (11.58) and seventh in the 200m (24.08) at the Pac-10 Championships. Also ran the second leg for the 4x100m relay team which took second with a season-best time of 44.37. Posted a time of 11.78 in the 100m dash at the West Regional but did not advance to the finals. Ran the third leg for USC's 4x100m relay team which placed third with a time of 44.81. Ran on USC's 4x100m relay team which was disqualified for a pass out of the zone in the preliminaries at the NCAA Championships.
2008: Ran the third leg on USC's 4x100m relay team which had a season best of 44.00 to win the title at the Pac-10 Championships on May 17. Was also part of USC's winning 4x100m relay team at the Dual Meet on May 3 which posted a 44.07 time. Ran the third leg on both of USC's relays at the NCAA Championships, but the teams did not advance. Had a season-best 100m time of 11.75 at the Dual Meet, a best 200m time of 24.24w at the Long Beach Invitational and a best 400m time of 56.53 at the Trojan Invitational.
2007: Joined her sister in the USC record books by running the third leg of the Trojans' 4x400m relay which ran 3:34.80 at the NCAA Championship preliminaries on June 7, the 9th-fastest time in school history. Had a season-best of 55.64 in the 400m at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 13 and 24.70 in the 200m at the Stanford Invitational on March 30. Ran the third leg for USC in the 4x400m at the Pac-10 Championships at Stanford on May 13 which placed third with a time of 3:35.42. USC's 4x400m then placed fifth at the NCAA West Regional at Oregon on May 26 with a time of 3:38.93, as she ran the third leg again.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Peoria High in Peoria, Ariz...Won the Arizona state high school 400m title in her freshman and sophomore seasons before being slowed by a hip injury in her junior year...Has personal bests of 11.68 in the 100m, 23.87 in the 200m and 54.0 in the 400m.
PERSONAL: Judith was born on Feb. 9, 1988 in Phoenix, Ariz...She joined her All-American sister Jessica on USC's track team for two seasons...Likes to travel...Judith is a Health Promontion Disease Prevention major and Occupational Sciences minor at USC.
