Chun Mei Nickles
THIS YEAR: Redshirt senior Chun Mei Nickles showed great promise last season as USC's top women's pole vaulter, tying for fourth-best all-time at USC.
2007: Had a pole vault of 12-5 1/2 (3.80m) on April 21 at the UC San Diego Invitational to tie for the fourth-highest clearance by a women in USC history. Competed at the Pac-10 Championships in Palo Alto, Calif on May 13 and cleared 11-5 3/4 (3.50m) to place 15th. She qualified in the pole vault for the NCAA West Regional held in Eugene, Ore. on May 26 where she tied for 23rd in a large field of competitors at at height of 12-0 (3.66m).

PERSONAL: Chun Mei was born on February 7, 1985 in Okinawa, Japan...Her younger sister (Mei) is a teammate on the USC track and field team and her older sister (Diana) also attended USC...Likes to go to the beach, shop, watch movies, listen to music and hangout with friends...Is a Kinesiology major at USC.
