THIS YEAR: Freshman Akawkaw Ndipagbor (A-coco N-dip-AHG-boar) is a very talented runner who should immediately be one of the Trojans top runners. Has won titles on the state and national level, and has represented the USA in international competitions.
HIGH SCHOOL: Ndipagbor of state champion Long Beach Poly won the 2011 California State Meet 400m title with a time of 53.38 and took second in the 200m dash with a time of 24.05. She won both the 200m and 400m races at the CIF Southern Section and CIF Masters Meet and holds PRs of 23.38 in the 200m and 53.12 in the 400m. Ndipagbor won the 400m race at the Nike Nationals with a time of 54.40. She then ran for the U.S. Junior National Team at the Pan Am Junior Games and placed fifth in the 200m dash with her PR of 23.38.
PERSONAL: Akawkaw was born on April 30, 1993 in Long Beach, Calif...Was an honor roll student in high school...Is majoring in Global Health at USC...Her hobbies include writing, counseling peers, music, personal styling and intellectual photography...Lists her favorite musicians as The Weeknd and Lights.
