THIS YEAR: Sophomore Myles Andrews was USC's top 800m runner last season and demonstrated that he is going to be a force within the conference over the next few seasons.
2012: Ran the 800m leg for USC's 1600m sprint medely team which placed second with a time of 3:17.61 at the Texas Relays on March 30. USC's team with two sophomores and two freshmen was just .14 seconds behind Baylor's winning team which featured three seniors. Andrews placed second with a time of 1:51.74 in the 800m race at his first USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 29 in Westwood, Calif. Set a PR of 1:50.54 in the 800m race at Mt. SAC in the University/Open race on April 20. Finished in 15th at the Pac-12 Championships in the 800m race with a time of 1:53.17
HIGH SCHOOL: Andrews attended Long Beach Poly High, in Long Beach, Calif. He placed third in the 800m race at the 2011 California State meet with a PR of 1:50.63. He also won the CIF Southern Section 800m race and placed second in the Masters Meet 800m final. Andrews also has a 1600m PR of 4:14.59. In his first year of running cross country, he won the Moore League title and helped his team place seventh at the California State XC Meet with a time of 15.44.
