    THIS YEAR: Redshirt sophomore D.J. Morgan will again compete in the hurdles and as part of the USC 4x100m relay team around his commitments to the USC football team. Morgan was limited in football in the fall due to knee and ankle injuries, but appeared in seven games and had 201 yards rushing on 41 carries and his first career rushing and receiving touchdowns. He ranked third on the team in rushing yards and carries.

    2012: Morgan demonstrated his immense talent by placing fifth in the 110m HH at the Pac-12 Championships with a wind-aided time of 14.21 after not competing in the event since his junior year of high school (2009). Despite the collegiate hurdle height being higher, Morgan adjusted well and ran 14.48 in the first round of the Pac-12s to advance to the finals. His time was the best by a Trojan all season and advanced him to the NCAA Preliminary Rounds in Austin, Texas. Morgan ran 14.39 at the regional to place 39th. As a running back on the football team in the fall of 2011, played in 10 games and finished third on the team in attempts (42) and in rushing yards (163). Started at tailback twice, including the opener vs. Minnesota when he totaled a team-leading 70 yards on 18 carries and became the first USC freshman tailback to start an opener sinc C.J. Gable in 2006.

    2011: Did not compete in track and field. Was a redshirt running back on the football team in the fall of 2010. He was named the USC Service Team Offensive Player of the Year.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Morgan prepped at Taft High in Woodland Hills, Calif. Won the 2009 California state 110m HH title and placed second in the 300m IH as a junior. He also won the 2009 L.A. City 110m HH title. In the summer of 2009, he won the 110m HH at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Italy in 13.28 (the No. 5 all-time performance). In 2008, he won the L.A. City titles in the 100m, 110m HH and 300m IH. He had bests of 10.6 in the 100m, 21.8 in the 200m, 37.6 in the 300m IH and 22-9 in the long jump. In 2008 in the summer before his junior season, he won the 110 highs and 400 intermediate hurdles in the intermediate boys' division at the U.S. national junior Olympic track and field championships in Omaha.

    PERSONAL: Morgan was born on Jan. 3, 1992...He is a Public Policy, Management and Planning major at USC...his initials stand for Dale Jr.
