USC Women Tied For 2nd, Men 10th At Pac-12 Championships
Trojans' strong showing in hammer throw gets day off to a good start
THIS YEAR: Redshirt junior Abe Markowitz will compete for the Trojans in the shot put.
2011: Suffered a foot injury in football and was unable to compete.
2010: Set a PR in the shot put with a mark of 53-11 (16.43m) to place seventh at the Cal-Nevada Championships on March 28.
2009: Markowitz practiced with the track team but did not compete last year. He was also a backup center for the football team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii.
PERSONAL: Markowitz was born on September 26, 1990.
CAREER BEST: Shot Put: 53-11 (16.43m)
