THIS YEAR: Senior Melissa Margulies has made steady progress throughout her USC career and gives the Trojans depth in both the 400m and 800m.
2008: Battled through injuries the entire season. Had a season-best 800m time of 2:19.80 at the Trojan Invitational on March 22. Was named honorable mention on the Pac-10 All-Academic team.
2007: Ran a career-best 2:15.82 in the 800m race to place fifth at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 28. Ran in the 800m race at the Pac-10 Championships held at Stanford on May 12, but did not qualify for the finals. Was an honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic team selection and a member of the USC Honor Roll.
2006: Posted a season-best 400m time of 1:00.14 at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 29 in Westwood, Calif.
HIGH SCHOOL: Margulies attended Mammoth High and starred in track, soccer (team MVP) and volleyball.
PERSONAL: Melissa was born on May 29, 1987 in Los Angeles, Calif...Likes sports, music, shopping, snowboarding and watching movies...Favorite type of food is Asian...She is a Public Relations major at USC...Interned with the USC Sports Information office in the Fall.
