Trojans Post Strong Marks And Times At Mt. SAC
Several USC athletes register PRs and season bests
THIS SEASON: Senior James Leckie is expected to compete in the 800m and 1500m races for the Trojans.
2011: Set a PR with a time of 1:52.63 in the 800m race to place sixth at the Occidental Invitational on May. 7...that time was the third-fastest by a Trojan during the season. Also set a PR with a time of 4:00.22 in placing 10th in the 1500m race at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 5.
2010: Ran the 800m and 1500m in his first season at USC. Had season bests of 1:56.86 in the 800m and 4:06.87 in the 1500m.
BEFORE USC: Attended Pepperdine as a freshman in 2009 and ran on their track and field team...Placed 21st at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational with a time of 1:57.04 in the 800m race...Had a best 1500m time of 4:15 at the West Coast Track Challenge on Feb. 28.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Hunterdon Central Regional HS in New Jersey...He was a two-time conference chamion in the 800m...Won the team state sectional title in cross country and indoor and outdoor track his senior season.
PERSONAL: James was born on Aug. 27, 1990...Lists his favorite actor as Denzel Washington, favorite musicians as Jay-Z and J Cole and favorte movie as Man on Fire...He is a Political Science/Pre-Law major at USC.
