She ranks seventh all-time by a Trojan female in the hammer throw at 206-5. 2012: Had a season-best hammer throw of 195-8 (59.64m) to finish second at the BYU/Boise State Invite on April 7. Placed fifth at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet in the hammer throw with a mark of 186-9. Took eighth in the hammer at the Pac-12 Championships to earn USC a point with a throw of 192-3. Threw 192-4 to place 21st at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in Austin, Texas. 2011: Redshirted following offseason foot surgery. 2010: Chambers won the University/Open hammer competititon at Mt. SAC on April 16 with a U.S. Junior record throw of 206-5 (62.93m) and was named Pac-10 Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her achievement. That was a new PR and moved her into fourth place on USC's all-time women's hammer list. She competed in the shot for the first time for USC at the Dual Meet on May 1 and had a best throw of 43-5.25 (13.24m). She placed ninth in the shot (42-5.25) and and claimed second place in the hammer (195-2) in her first Pac-10 Championships. She placed 25th in the hammer at the NCAA Preliminary Rounds held in Austin, Texas with a clean throw of 181-10 (55.42m) and two fouls, and did not advance on the the NCAA Championships. Competed for the U.S. at the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships in Canada, but did not medal. High School: Chambers attended Kell HS in Marietta, Ga. She had best marks in the hammer of 201-6 (61.42m) and the shot of 49-1 (14.96m)...EnShe was the high school national shot champion for two years and is the high school record holder in the shot...Was a 2008 World Team member...Has the second-best all-time hammer throw by a high schooler...In 2009 was named to the high school all-decade team. At the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Championships in 2009, she set the national youth record in the hammer throw with a winning mark of 175-8 (53.55m)...She won the event by nearly 21 feet and broke the old record set in 2006 by nearly 13 feet. Personal: Lauren was born on Feb. 5, 1991...In her spare time likes to watch television, hangout with her family, talk to her brother and spend time with her teammates...Her favorite food is Mexican and favorite musician is Maxwell...Is a Human Performance major at USC...After USC would like to own an OT Center to work with children with autism.
