She began to make the transition to the pole vault from the jumps last season, but was injured and could not compete. 2012: Injured and did not compete. 2011: Had a season-best in the triple jump of 34-6.75 (10.53m) at the CS Los Angeles Twilight Meet on April 14. Had a long jump PR of 15-11.50 (4.86m) to tie for ninth at the Trojan Tri-Meet on April 2. 2010: Had a season best long jump of 15-7 and a PR in the triple jump of 35-2. 2009: Had a season best triple jump of 32-5 1/4 in the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 2. HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Millburn High School in Short Hills, New Jersey where she set a career best of 35-2 in the triple jump...Named to Essex County First Team PERSONAL: Katherine was born on June 6, 1990 in Metarie, La...Graduated from USC with a double Bachelor's of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and Kinesiology...Is in the first year of a Masters in Health Systems Management Engineering...Her parents are Minkin and Julie Chang...Has an older sister, Jennifer, who also attended USC...Her hobby is learning more about pole vault...She is a dual citizen with Taiwan and the United States and would like to set the Taiwanese national record in the pole vault.
