THIS YEAR: Senior Anthony Heckman is one of the top 800m runners in the Pac-10.
2004: Heckman continued to improve as a junior, finishing a strong third in the 800m at the Pac-10s in a PR 1:49.13 ... He went on to qualify for the NCAA Championships by finishing fourth at the NCAA West Regionals ... Finished seventh in heat two of the prelims at the NCAAs in 1:49.22, but did not advance.
2003: Heckman had a best of 1:50.79 in the 800m as a sophomore ... Finished fourth at the UCLA dual meet in a time of 1:51.24 ... Placed 10th in the prelims of the Pac-10s in 1:52.29 ... Ran 1:51.00 at the NCAA West Regionals to finish seventh in heat two.
2002: Heckman had a surprising freshman year, advancing to the Pac-10 championships in the 800m, where he finished 10th in the prelims ... Had a best time of 1:50.96, which he ran at the Occidental Invitational.
