THIS YEAR: Junior Myra Hasson is a very talented runner that can help the Trojans in a variety of ways, specializing in the 400m run.
2008: Had a season-best 400m time of 53.93 to place third at the Dual Meet on May 3. Also won the first leg for USC's winning 4x400m relay team which posted a season-best time of 3:31.85. Placed 7th in the 400m at the Pac-10 Championships with a time of 54.51. Anchored USC's 4x400m relay team which placed 4th with a time of 3:38.04. The track announcer announced her as having run a 52-second split. Ran the 400m at the West Region, but did not advance to the finals. Ran the anchor leg of the 4x400m team at the Regional which placed 3rd with a time of 3:37.13. Ran anchor on the 4x400m team which had a 3:35.96 time, but did not advance out of the prelims.
2007: Had a strong freshman campaign as one of USC's top 400m runners. Won the 400m race at the Pepsi Invitational in Eugene, Ore. on April 7 with a PR of 53.25. Ran the first leg for USC's 4x400m relay team on June 7 at the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, Calif which posted the 9th-fastest time in USC history (3:34.80), but did not qualify for the finals. Placed 5th in the 400m with a time of 53.99 at the Pac-10s hosted by Stanford on May 13. Was also part of USC's 3rd place 4x400m relay team. Also scored at the West Regional in the 400m (6th) with a time of 54.41 and as part of the 4x400m relay team (5th) which posted a time of 3:38.93.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a High School All-American at Gardena HS in Gardena, Calif. where she won the Los Angeles 400m championship four straight years...Placed fourth in the state in the 400m with a time of 54.66...Her personal best was 53.26 in the 400m and 24.21 in the 200m.
PERSONAL: Myra was born on April 20, 1988 in Los Angeles, Calif...Enjoys skateboarding, cooking, swimming and playing the piano...Lists her favorite movie at Forrest Gump...She is a Psychology major at USC.
