    THIS YEAR: Redshirt junior Sheldon Evans continues his comeback from a knee injury suffered during the 2005 season. Showed glimpses of his potential last season.

    2007: Had a season best of 53.19 in the 400m IH at the Claremont Relays on Feb. 24 to place second to teammate Kai Kelley. Ran 53.41 to place third in the 400m IH at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 28. Had a 54.90 time at the Pac-10s and did not qualify for the finals. Named to the Pac-10 All-Academic second team.

    2006: Redshirted while recovering from right knee surgery. 2005: Was having a solid freshman season before suffering ligament tears in his right knee during hurdles drills...Had the best time by a Trojan in the 400m IH of 51.90 on April 9 at the APU Meet of Champions.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Evans attended Pacifica (Calif.) High in Garden Grove...Was the Orange Country high school champion in the 300m IH...Qualified for the state championships in 2004.

    PERSONAL: Sheldon was born on Aug. 4, 1986 in Garden Grove, Calif...He likes to listen to music and attend church. He is a Political Science and Philosophy major at USC.
