    USC Wins 11 Events On the Final Day Of The Trojan Invitational

    Boyd wins twice and Novy and Olonade post school all-time top 10 marks

    THIS YEAR: Redshirt senior Diego Lopez begins his final season as a javelin thrower for the Trojans. He originally transferred to USC from Cal Poly Pomona as a pole vaulter.

    2015: In his first Trojan Invitational he posted a mark of 177-6 (54.11m) on March 21. Took fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 178-6 (54.42m) at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 3. He then set a PR with a throw of 181-0 (55.16m) to take 13th at the Pac-12 Championships on May 16. He served as co-captain of the team..

    2014: Redshirted last season as he continued to develop his skills as a javelin thrower.

    2013: Converted to the javelin throw and had a season-best mark of 169-10 (51.78m) on April 27.

    BEFORE USC: Competed in the pole vault with a best of 14-6 while at Cal Poly Pomona.

    PERSONAL: Lopez was born on January 9, 1993 in Pasadena, California...His parents are Paul and Ines and siblings Marina and Emilio...He is a Human Biology major at USC...Enjoys playing League of Legends and cliff jumping during his free time...Lists his favorite movie as Fight Club and his favorite artists as Skrillex and Fall Out Boy...Favorite food is chow mein and would love to visit Ibiza, Spain one day.
