Trojan women win fifth straight
THIS YEAR: Senior Scott DeYoung continues to improve and provide the Trojans with great depth in the 400m race.
2011: Had a season-best time of 48.07 in the 400m dash at the Pac-10 Championships to place 14th. Was an alternate on USC's 4x400m relay team which advanced to the NCAA semifinals. Placed fourth in the 400m at the Dual Meet on May 1 with a time of 48.51.
2010: DeYoung had a PR of 47.81 in the 400m to place eighth in the University/Open race at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 16. Placed fourth in the 400m race at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 1 with a time of 47.88 as USC had the first four finishers. Ran in the 400m race at the Pac-10 Championships and placed 11th with a time of 48.33.
2009: Had had a season-best time of 48.43 in the 400m dash at the Tiny Lister Invitational on April 25. He was a Pac-10 qualifier, where he ran a 48.52 400m.
HIGH SCHOOL: DeYoung attended St. Margaret's High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. He was third in the 400m in the 2006 CIF Southern Section Finals. Had a best high school 400m time of 48.88.
PERSONAL: Scott was born on July 28, 1989...His hobies include skiing and bodysurfing...All four grandparents, his father and an aunt and uncle all attended USC and his sister Katie is on this year's team...Scott is a Business Administration major at USC...His hobbies include body surfing and skiing...He is a member of the USC Alumni Association's student outreach program Society 53 and on the Trojan Athlete Senate.
