    Trojans host first of three big meets at Loker Stadium this season

    THIS YEAR: Sophomore Davonte Stewart had a very strong freshman campaign, improving throughout the season, culminated by qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 200m dash.

    2012: Stewart had a PR of 20.55 in the 200m to place third at the Pac-12 Championships on May 13 in Eugene, Ore....Also, was 12th in the 100m dash with a wind-aided time of 10.52 and ran a leg on USC's 4x100m relay which placed sixth with a time of 40.93. Ran 20.66w in the 200m to advance out of the NCAA Preliminary Rounds in eighth place in the West and on ot the NCAA semifinals in Des Moines, Ia. Had a time of 20.95 at the NCAA Championships to finish 19th and earn honorable mention All-America Honors.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Stewart attended AB Miller High in Fontana, Calif. He won the 100m dash at the CIF Southern Section Division I finals for the second year in a row with a PR of 10.51. He also won the 200m dash at the meet with a season-best time of 20.89. He owns a 200m PR of 20.84 set at the CIF-SS Division I prelims. His winning 100 dash time was 10.64 at the 2010 CIF Southern Section finals.

    PERSONAL: Stewart was born on June 11, 1993 in Rialto, Calif...Is a Communications major at USC...His favorite movie is Menace II Society, favorite actress is Jessica Alba and favorite musician is Drake...For two years he served food to the homeless at a local center.
