THIS YEAR: Sophomore Jessica Davis had an outstanding first season as a Trojan, setting the USC freshman 200m record and earning All-America honors. She also ran the sixth-fastest 100m and 200m times in school history.

2011: Davis won the 100m with a then legal PR of 11.24, took second in the 200m with a time of 23.25 and was part of USC's winning 4x100m relay team to help lead the Trojans to their fourth consecutive victory in the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May. Broke the USC freshman 200m record with a time of 22.98 to win the Olympic Development Elite race at Mt. Sac. on April 16...she eclipsed the old record of 23.22 set by Olympian and four-time NCAA 100m champion Angela Williams. Davis then broke her own freshman record by winning the 200m dash at the Pac-10 Championships on May 14 with a time of 22.84, moving her into sixth place on USC's all-time list...Also placed second in the 100m with a PR of 11.19. Advanced out of the NCAA Preliminary Rounds in Eugene, Ore. by finishing third in the 100m (11.45), fourth in the 200m (22.91) and in the 4x100m by anchoring USC's fourth-place team which posted a time of 44.23. Placed eighth in the 200m dash at the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Ia. with a time of 23.04 to earn first-team All-American Honors....Also garnered first-team All-America honors as she ran anchor for USC's 4x100m relay which placed third with a time of 43.42 which is the fourth-fastest time ever by a Trojan quartet...Gained second-team All-America honors in the 100m, finishing 11th with a time of 11.51. Placed third in the 200m with a time of 22.97 (.001 seconds out of second place) at the 2011 Pan American Junior Championships on July 23 in Miramar, Fla.

HIGH SCHOOL: Davis is a 2010 graduate of Highland High in Palmdale, Calif. where she served as team captain. Posted bests of 11.45 in the 100m, 23.4 in the 200m and 55.69 in the 400m. She took fourth in the 100m dash and second in the 200m dash at the 2010 CIF State Championships after finishing second and third respectively at the 2009 meet. She also captured the 2008 200m state title and placed second in the 100m dash. Davis was also named to the USA Today's 2009 USA girls high school track and field team. Had the seventh-fastest legal 100m time of 11.53 and tied for the third-fastest 200m time of 23.42 by a high schooler last season. Ran on Team USA's gold medal-winning 4x100m relay team at the 2009 Pan AM Junior Championships in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

PERSONAL: Jessica was born on October 31, 1992 in Gardena, Calif...Her father, Jesse Davis, played football at USC from 1993-96 and she ran with current Trojans Alitta Boyd, Reggie Wyatt, Joey Hughes and Dalilah Muhammad at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in 2009...Her hobbies are simple...eating and sleeping...List her favorite movie as Love and Basketball...Is a Gerontology major at USC.
