    THIS YEAR: Brittany Daniels could have a major impact for the Trojans right away.

    HIGH SCHOOL: She prepped at Merrill F. West (Calif.) High and was the 2005 Gatorade Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year...Won three straight CIF triple jump titles and the long jump title as a senior (20-8 3/4). She also was part of the 4x100m gold medal winning relay team that had a time of 45.78...Helped lead her high school to three straight Sac-Joaquin Section Girls Division I crowns...Placed fourth in the triple jump at the U.S. Championships where she had a jump of 44-11 3/4 and missed making the team by an inch...That make set the American Junior record in the triple jump...As a 16-year-old junior in hish school, she was an Olympic trials finalist. PERSONAL: Brittany was born on Sept. 22, 1987 in Tracy, Calif....She also excelled in the classroom where she maintained a 3.5 GPA.
