THIS YEAR: All-American redshirt senior Noah Bryant again teams with senior William Denbo to form one of the best shot put duos in the country in 2007.
2006: Had a great comeback season setting a personal best in the shot of 64-6 1/2 (19.67m) on May 13 to win the shot competition at the Pac-10 Championships in his final throw...it was the fourth farthest throw in USC history...Also placed fifth in the hammer (61.73m) and 15th in the discus (49.44m) at the Pac-10s...Placed second at the NCAA West Regional with a throw of 62-6 1/2 (19.06m)...Earned All-American honors with a seventh place finish at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 63-3 1/2 (19.28m)...Had a career best throw in the hammer of 203-5 on May 6 at the Claremont Classic on May 6.
2005: He had his season cut short by a freak accident on April 2 at Northridge when the hammer bounced off the cage and hit him in the face...He had season-ending surgery. Had a PR in the hammer of 194-10 on March 26 prior to being injured.
2004: He was outstanding as a sophomore, finishing 12th in the shot at the NCAAs to earn All-American honors...He showed he could consistently reach 60 feet and improved upon his previous season's best put by almost six feet... His PR of 62-5 at the UCLA dual meet put him in eighth on the all-time USC shot chart...He took sixth at the NCAA West Regionals and was eighth at Pac-10s...Had bests of 189-6 in the hammer and 153-6 in the discus.
2003: Bryant was USC's top shot putter as a true freshman with a best of 56-10 3/4...Finished ninth at the Pac-10 Championships with a throw of 53-9 3/4...Placed 13th at the NCAA West Regionals with a put of 54-10 1/4... Also threw the hammer (177-11) and discus (148-6)...Over the summer, took second at the Pan Am Junior Championships with a throw of 63-6 1/2 and second at the U.S. Junior Championships with a throw of 61-10 1/2 (junior shot)... Also was 12th in the hammer at the U.S. Juniors with a throw of 183-4.
HIGH SCHOOL: Bryant won the California state shot put title in 2002 as a senior at Carpinteria (Calif.) High...His PR of 67-6 1/2 at the Golden West Meet was the third-best prep mark in the nation in 2002...He also threw the hammer a PR 199-3 at Golden West ...Bryant was a three-time All-American in the shot...He also had a PR 170-3 in the discus.
PERSONAL: Bryant was born on May 11, 1984...He is a Public Policy and Management major at USC.
