THIS SEASON: Ben Brown kept making improvements last season and the Trojans look for him to continue his progress this season. Is also learning to throw the javelin this season.
2009: Had a best triple jump of 45-1.75 on April 25 and best long jump of 20-8 on March 14.
2008: Posted a career-best triple jump of 47-5.75 on April 26 at the UCSD Triton Invitational.
2007: Had a season-best triple jump of 46-8 (14.22m) on April 28 in the USC-UCLA Dual Meet. Also had a season best in the long jump at the Dual Meet of 21-7.5 (6.59m).
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Torrey Pines High in San Diego, Calif. Was a three-time CIF San Diego Section medalist and a three-time Palomar League medalist. Was a gold and silver medalist at the California State Games.
PERSONAL: Ben was born on Aug. 19, 1988 in San Diego, Calif. His hobbies include sculpture, photography and action sports. Is a Broadcast Journalism major and a Sculpture minor at USC.
