    Middle Distances


    THIS YEAR: Junior Andreas Spanos begins his second season on the USC track and field team and adds to the Trojans' depth in the middle distances.

    2014: Spanos set an 800m PR of 1:56.33 in his first meet of the season at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 15. In his only 1500m race of the season, he posted a time of 4:10.37 at the Aztec Invitational on March 28.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Spanos graduated from the Stevenson School in 2012. As a senior he placed second in the 200m (23.41) and the 400m (51.19) at the Mission Trail Athletic League finals. He had a best 200m time of 23.03, 400m time of 50.77 and 800m time of 2:04.24.

    PERSONAL: Andreas was born on December 26, 1993 in Stockton, Calif...His parents are Michael and Helen and he has four siblings, Michael, Christopher, Thomas and Ana...He enjoys flag football, watching movies and listening to music during his free time...His favorite food is spaghetti and meat sauce...Would like to visit Brazil someday...Has not yet declared a major at USC.
