THIS YEAR: Junior Roy Alugbue will be looked upon to step up and fill some of the void left by the graduation of Philip Francis and Garry Jones.

2006: Alugbue ran anchor on the Trojans' 4x100m relay team...He was a key contributor in his first season as a Trojan, as an integral part of the sprint team...Had a season-best time of 10.59 in the 100m on April 29 at the UCLA-USC Dual Meet to take third place...Ran a 10.67 100m dash at the Pac-10 Championships, but did not qualify for the finals...Was part of USC's 4x100m relay team which ran a 39.82 to finish second at the Pac-10s...Ran the final leg in USC's NCAA West Regional champion 4x100m relay team which registered a time of 39.68...Ran in the 4x100m relay at the NCAA Championships, but USC did not qualify for the finals.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: At El Camino Junior College, won the South Coast Conference finals in the 100m and 200m races, the first time since 1985 a runner had accomplished the feat.

HIGH SCHOOL: He prepped at St. John Bosco (Calif.) High and had a best of 10.94 in the 100m and 21.95 in the 200m.

PERSONAL: Roy was born on May 12, 1985...He is a communications major at USC.
