THIS YEAR: Team co-captain Cynthia Ademiluyi is in the top three all-time at USC in three different events and should once again earn All-American honors for the Women of Troy.

2001: Ademiluyi had an outstanding junior season ... Came through with an All-American performance at the NCAAs, throwing a PR 55-0 1/4 (second-best in USC history) to place third in a huge upset ... She was the first USC woman to earn All-American honors in the shot since Diane Clements in 1987 ... Also threw the discus at the NCAAs, finishing 10th with a mark of 166-1 ... Foreshadowed her fine NCAA showing with a second place in the shot at the Pac-10s with a then-PR of 54-10 1/4, while also taking fifth in the discus with a mark of 168-4.

2000: Continued to improve as a sophomore and ended up qualifying for the NCAAs in the discus and the shot ... At the Pac-10s, she finished third in the shot (50-8 3/4) and fourth in the discus (167-2) ... At the NCAAs, she was 14th in the discus (163-5) and 13th in the shot (48-11).

1999: Just missed making the finals and finished in 12th place in the shotput at the NCAAs with a throw of 50-2 ... At the Pac-10s, placed fifth in the shot (48-0), seventh in the discus (162-3) and eighth in the hammer (174-8).

1998: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: At Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, Cynthia was a two-time CIF champ in both the shot put and discus and won the 1997 state title in the shot ... Was also a four-time Moore League shot put champ.

PERSONAL: Cynthia was born in Los Angeles on Jan. 23, 1979 ... She is a public policy management major at USC.
