THIS YEAR: Sophomore Alex Adams transferred to USC from Illinois State and will provide depth in the throws.
BEFORE USC: Attended Illinois State last season and place second indoors in the Missouri Valley Conference in the shot with a put of 54-4 (16.56m). Came in third in the MVC Outdoor Championships in the discus with a throw of 169-7 (51.70m).
HIGH SCHOOL: Adams attended Covenant Christian Academy and had a high school shot best of 64-4 3/4 (19.63m)...He was a two-time state champion.
PERSONAL: Adams was born on August 6, 1989 in Baltimore, Md...His favorite musician is Alan Jackson...Is a History major at USC.
