Baseball
USC will head to Tuscaloosa, Ala., as the No. 2 seed at the South II Regional, the NCAA announced today. The Trojans will battle with host Alabama, the top seed, and North Carolina State, Wichita State, Virginia Tech and Troy State for the right to advance to the College World Series. USC meets Virginia Tech, the fifth seed, in the first game on Thursday. Junior righthander Seth Etherton, junior second baseman Wes Rachels, senior shortstop Marc Mirizzi and freshman catcher Eric Munson were named to the All-Pac-10 first team.

Women's Crew
The Women of Troy finished seventh out of 9 teams at the Pac-10 Championships at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif., on Sunday. Washington won the title. USC's Malora Guerrero was named to the All-Pac-10 team.

Men's Golf
The Trojans placed third at the NCAA West Regional, hosted by San Diego State, over the weekend. USC will now advance to the NCAA Championships on May 28-31, hosted by Northwestern. UNLV won the tournament, 10 strokes ahead of USC. Seniors Chad Wright and Brian Hull were Troy's top finishers, tying for eighth at 3-under-par. Sophomore Jorge Corral tied for 14th, senior Roger Tambellini tied for 32nd and freshman Nick Webb tied for 42nd.

Men's Tennis
Juniors George Bastl and Kyle Spencer and freshman Patrick Gottesleben will participate in the NCAA Individual Championships, hosted by UCLA, this week. Bastl and Gottesleben will play singles while Bastl and Spencer will team up to play doubles.

Jorge Corral, Men's Golf
Corral, a sophomore, had 3 rounds of par or better (72-72-70=214, 2-under-par), the only Trojan to do so, and tied for 14th place at the NCAA West Regional.
