    Assistant Athletic Trainer

    Women's and Men's Volleyball, Women's Golf

    Sue enters her 31st year as a staff assistant athletic trainer with the women's golf and men's and women's volleyball programs. She holds the most national championships as an athletic trainer at USC with 10 rings.

    She was the head women's athletic trainer at Michigan State University for three years (1975-1978). Prior to that, she was a graduate assistant trainer at Michigan State University for 2 years (1973-1975), working with football and women's sports.

    She received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Central Michigan University in 1973 and a master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training at Michigan State University in 1975. Lerner was the athletic trainer coordinator for the swimming venue at the 1984 Olympics held on the USC campus. She is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the California Athletic Trainers Association.

    Lerner is married and lives with her husband, Steve, in Mar Vista.
