USC Athletics Weekly Review/Preview 
Mike Gerrity of the men's basketball team and Damian Williams of the football team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Dec. 28) for the week of Dec. 21-27.
The senior guard Gerrity earned MVP honors at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, Hi. (Dec. 22-25) as he helped lead USC to the title with wins over Western Michigan, Saint Mary's and No. 27/No. 20 UNLV. He averaged 15.7 points, 2.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in the three games, while hitting 62.1 percent of his shots (18-for-29).
The redshirt junior receiver Williams caught 12 passes for 189 yards to help lead USC to a 24-13 victory over Boston College in the Emerald Bowl on Dec. 26 in San Francisco. He earned Emerald Bowl Offensive MVP as he had two long catches which set up USC scores. He had one 38-yard catch to set up a Stanley Havili 5-yard TD catch and another of 48 yards to set up a Matt Barkley one-yard TD run.
