USC Athletics Weekly Review & Preview 
Alex Stepheson of the men's basketball team was named the USC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week today (Dec. 14) for the week of Dec. 6-13.
The junior forward Stepheson helped lead USC to home wins over Sacramento State and Idaho State by reaching double figures in points and rebounds in both games, as well as registering 11 blocks.
In the 51-36 win vs. Sacramento State on Dec. 8, Stepheson had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks, while going 3-for-6 from the field. His 7 blocks tied for the fourth highest single-game total ever by a Trojan. In the 59-53 win vs. Idaho State on Dec. 11, he had 16 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and 4 blocks, while going 8-for-11 from the field. His four blocks were part of a new USC single-game record of 13.
