    Jordan Thompson of the men's water polo team and Ashley Corral of the women's basketball team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Dec. 7) for the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 6.

    The senior two-meter man Thompson scored two huge goals in USC's 7-6 win over UCLA in the NCAA Water Polo title game and earned tournament MVP honors. He also scored a pair of goals in USC's 13-3 semifinals win vs. Princeton. Thompson's efforts helped USC earn its second consecutive NCAA title and push the Trojans' senior class record to 100-7.

    The sophomore guard Corrall played all 80 minutes in USC's 83-77 win at Long Beach State and 78-72 loss at No. 11 Duke. Against Long Beach State, Corral posted her first career double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. In the game at Duke, Corral poured in a career-high 26 points and set the school record with seven three-pointers made. She also added seven rebounds and nine assists at Duke, just missing out on another double-double.
