    Alex Jupiter of the women's volleyball team and Malcolm Smith of the football team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 30) for the week of Nov. 23-29.

    The sophomore outside hitter Jupiter had a combined 48 kills and 28 digs in USC's wins vs. Arizona State and Arizona which ran the team's winning streak to six matches. Jupiter had 25 kills and 15 digs in the 3-1 win vs. ASU on Friday, then followed that effort up with 23 kills and 13 digs in a 3-1 win vs. No. 19 Arizona on Saturday. Jupiter now has 576.0 points this season, good for third place on USC's single-season scoring list.

    The junior linebacker Smith had 15 tackles and ran back an interception 62 yards for a touchdown in USC's 28-7 win vs. rival UCLA on Saturday. Smith's first-quarter interception return provided the only points in the game until midway through the third quarter. Smith had seven solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss in the game.
