Crook and Rapsey Named USC Student-Athletes of the Week|

Mace Rapsey of men's water polo were named USC Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 26) for the week of Nov. 19-25.
Women's Basketball: USC sophomore point guard Ariya Crook had a career day in a near upset of then-No. 20 Nebraska at the Galen Center on Friday afternoon. Crook amassed a career-high 25 points, due in part to a career-high five made three-pointers. She shot 9-of-18 from the field overall and 5-of-8 from behind the three-point arc. Crook also pulled down five rebounds and had two assists. Earlier in the week in a 72-58 victory over Arkansas State, Crook scored six points and dished out five assists in 30 minutes of play.
Men's Water Polo: Junior utility Mace Rapsey tallied a total of eight goals over three games in the MPSF Tournament as the Trojans stayed perfect on the year to win its eighth MPSF Tournament title and advance to the NCAA Championships. In the opening game of the tournament against UC Santa Barbara, Rapsey tallied two goals as the Trojans defeated the Gauchos, 17-9, and advanced to the tournament semifinals. The Trojans squared off against Stanford in the semifinals, where Rapsey again added two goals, including a goal in the third quarter that gave the team their biggest lead of the day, 8-5. With the final score 11-10 USC, Rapsey and the Trojans advanced to the finals. In the tournament's title game, the Trojans stayed perfect on the season, defeating California, 9-5, for the title as Rapsey paired his savvy defense with a team-leading four goals.
