    Kendall Bateman of the women's volleyball team and Nikola Vucevic of the men's basketball team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 23) for the week of Nov. 16-22.

    The sophomore setter Bateman recorded 80 assists and 10 digs in USC's 3-0 sweeps at Oregon on Nov. 20 and Oregon State on Nov. 21 to run the team's winning streak to four matches. Bateman currently leads the NCAA with a 12.3 assists per set average. In the win at Oregon, she had 40 assists, 5 digs and 3 block assist to help lead USC to a .361 shooting percentage as a team. In the victory at Oregon State, Bateman had 40 assists and 5 digs, and USC hit .324.

    The sophomore forward Vucevic averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in USC's first two games of the season, after averaging 2.6 points and 2.7 rebounds as a freshman. In the 77-67 season-opening win vs. UC Riverside on Nov. 17, he set then career highs with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Vucevic followed that up with his first-career double-double and new career highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 67-59 loss vs. LMU on Nov. 21. For the week he shot .556 (15-for-27) from the field, while registering five assists and making two steals.
