Kristin Olsen of the women's soccer team and Joel Dennerley of the men's water polo team were named the USC Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 17) for the week of Nov. 10-16.

The junior goalkeeper Olsen helped USC advance into the NCAA Round of 16 with a 2-0 shutout over Boston University and a 1-1 shootout win over host BYU (4-2 in the shootout). Against BU she needed only one save to register her 20th career shutout, but against BYU she had three saves and came up big in the shootout. Olsen knocked down two of the first three attempts by the Cougars and USC advanced with a 4-2 shootout advantage.

The freshman goalie Dennerley had 15 saves in USC's road wins over Santa Clara (22-2) and No. 3 Stanford (6-5) to complete a perfect 24-0 regular season. He had two saves while splitting time in the win over Santa Clara and then came up with 13 big stops in the one-goal win over the Cardinal.
