Lizette Salas of the women's golf team and Steve Johnson of the men's tennis team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 9) for the week of Nov. 2-8.

The junior Salas won the individual title by five strokes and helped lead USC to a third-place finish at the Turtle Bay Invitational in Kahuku, Hawaii on Nov. 4. She shot a three-round 8-under-par to win her first individual title of the season and third of her career. USC had the individual winner in three of the four Fall tournaments they played in.

The sophomore Johnson won the ITA National Indoor singles title with a 6-4, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (4) win over Georgia Tech's Guillermo Gomez on Nov. 8 at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. Johnson also took out the tournament's No. 1 seed J.P. Smith of Tennessee in a three-setter in the semi-finals. Johnson is now 9-1 in singles play this season.
